When presenting to a live audience there are several important points to always remember. Having a great message is all well and good but if your presentation skills are weak then the message can be missed. This is where a great presentation skills training program comes in. It may seem basic but being prepared is vital before getting in front of an audience. In a solid presentation training program you will learn valuable techniques on how to get prepared.

Relating to your audience and overcoming nervousness are also obstacles in facing a room full of people. Practicing and being aware of the environment you are working in is also something that can taught in a good program. I found an article at smallbiz1.com which broke the keys down to 4 important points.

“The four things that you will be able to take away from presentation skills training are:”

1. Being Prepared

2. Having Style

3. Coping with Anxiety

4. Managing Your Audience

“Practice using any technical equipment and visual aids ahead of time. Make sure that everything is functioning and in the right order. If the equipment isn’t working, then starting early will give you enough time to have someone repair it before the presentation was set to begin.”

I feel these point are vital, whether it is relating to a public speaking environment or perhaps a video presentation. A well prepared, confident presenter has a much better chance to get their message out there. And isn’t this why we would consider a engaging in a presentation skills training program in the first place?

You can read this entire article at smallbiz1.com.

Social networks have changed how videos are distributed

The explosion of Social media outlets has changed the face of online and traditional marketing for that matter. Every day we hear about a new outlet. The continued power of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn have proven this form of marketing and communication is here to stay. No longer are traditional forms of marketing videos going to be the standard.

It’s not enough to just put a video on your website

Viral videos have put YouTube on the cutting edge of how we watch videos and have also shattered the way videos are distributed and viewed. There’s much more to it than just having a marketing video on your website. I found a great article on how these trends are evolving at mashable.com.

“In many ways, movie studios are leading the charge when it comes to social video advertising, using groundbreaking interactive features, creative distribution strategies and original content to successfully drive huge amounts of viewership and sharing. Brands looking to up their social video game will benefit from closely watching Hollywood’s creative approach to online video marketing.”

“Getting people to watch and share your content requires some fundamental shifts in how marketers think about video advertising. Sharing has to be the starting point when developing content. Hollywood gets it: Great content is their currency. This is one reason why movie trailers were shared 184% more than the industry average for brand video content over the last quarter, as measured by Sharethrough’s distribution network.”

Don’t miss out on social media possibilites for your marketing video

Social networking and its’ potential as a media outlet is here to stay. Getting in touch with the latest trends in social media networking is essential to making sure your marketing video is seen by the largest audience. You can read the whole article at: mashable.com

I’m often asked if there really is that big of a difference in quality in professional internet video production and doing it yourself.

While there are some obvious areas where top level professionals hold a distinct edge, expensive technical resources for example, with a some decent equipment and a lot of practice, a DIY internet video production can look just as good as many professional pieces.

But hiring a professional may also include other parts to your marketing puzzle that actually make hiring a pro the way to go. I found some thoughts on this at Promo-Video Secrets.

A bad video can actually be detrimental to your company’s internet presence.

“Many film video production companies also offer strategic online video marketing services. This is vital if you are trying to build your business online. These companies handle everything from production of your video advertising media, to the online marketing of a successful video campaign.

Once contracted, they work with you to ensure that the message you want conveyed is delivered in a professional package that creates interest and captures potential customers. Many of the Fortune 500 companies employ such firms to boost their revenues and expand their client lists.

They realize that search engine marketing and optimization will drive traffic. They also know that an amateurish video, regardless of how well it’s marketed, will not achieve the results they desire.” You can read this full article at: Promo-Video Secrets

So, as you see there are lots of reasons to hire a pro to get professional quality internet video production. But I do feel that if your budget is small and you have the time to take some video editing classes, you can still get some decent results if you have the time to really practice and polish your work. Just remember, a bad video can actually hurt your image.

Make your marketing video simple too.

When you want to get your message across in the best possible way, all of us might want to remember three words, “Keep it simple”. All to often we try to cram as much information we can into our marketing video and other promotional video production, but as this article from Forbes.com reminds us, simple is better.

Narrow your message down to no more than three points

“If you try to communicate more than three ideas in an interview or even in a series of interviews, you will end up confusing audiences, readers and reporters. If you communicate 17 points, a reporter is likely to focus on two or three of your points anyway, probably ones that don’t even make sense unless people hear the first 10 that didn’t make it into the story.” Read the full article at : Forbes.com

So, you see, three solid points can give our message all the power it needs. Learn to get your message out there, stick to the important points and make sure you are understood! The message presented in any marketing video or promotional video production is really vital, so keep it simple to reach the largest audience.

Whats the key to your video marketing goldmine?

Creating a marketing video that carrys your message to the largest audience has become vital in today’s marketing scheme. How well you deliver your message in any marketing video is clearly vital. But the most important part of you message must be targeted directly to the particular audience you are aiming at. I saw this article at Forbes.com on the importance of crafting your marketing video message to your audience.

“When crafting your media messages, consider what will appeal to your audience. There are some messages that may be of great interest to reporters, but not to readers, viewers or listeners. For example, political reporters love to write stories on campaign finance reform, political fund raising and insider strategy conflicts. But news consumers and voters don’t care about this stuff AT ALL. So if you waste time pandering to reporters on these issues, you do yourself and your campaign no good.”

You can read the rest of this article at: Forbes.com

Knowing your audience for every marketing video message is vital

As you can see, if you’re trying to reach the right audience with that great message of yours, sometimes it’s critical to craft your marketing video information to fit the particular audience. So, if you want to learn how to dig into your video marketing goldmine, this is one of the most important lessons you can learn.

A marketing video is a great way to drive traffic to your website.

Following the latest trends in internet video production and keeping up with those trends, demands that you keep an eye on what’s the Hottest new thing! It’s also important that you attract as many viewers as possible to your site. I mean isn’t that why you make a marketing video in the first place?

YouTube is a great place to place your videos.

The viral video craze has rocketed YouTube into our everyday consciousness but there’s much more going on there. The sheer number of videos uploaded on a daily basis to YouTube is staggering. How can we make a video that is going to be seen amongst so many? In an article I found at ReelSeo.com there’s some great insight on where Youtube is headed.

“YouTube shocked the world last year with the reveal that they were regularly serving up 2 billion video views per day, with over 35 hours of video being uploaded every minute. As stunning as those numbers were at the time, YouTube wasn’t shy about setting their next milestone, which they said was 48 hours of video being uploaded every minute. And now that they’ve hit that milestone, I’m curious what the next one will be…” “The future of YouTube’s milestone announcements is going to be shifting somewhat. Instead of uploads, we’ll hear more about views or ad clicks. We’ll hear more about professional content deals and total users purchasing rentals… about the expanding catalog and customer base.” You can read the entire article at: ReelSeo.com

What started out as a simple craze has truly become the most vital new source of information out there. But as Youtube shifts it’s own focus toward the number of viewers rather than the number of raw uploads, we may expect to see a change in how the content is presented to the users. So stay tuned.
